What to Expect

Remya Warrior Designs has a step by step program to properly turn your house into a home.

 

Initial Consultation

An initial meeting is held at your home to look at the space and talk about your thoughts. This process allows ideas to be formulated. This includes you showing me pictures of what you like & don’t like so that we can determine your individual styles & color schemes. We want your home to be a reflection of you and your personality and mostly we want you to be surrounded by colors and furnishings that make you feel good & tell your family story.

 

Working Hours Our normal working hours are Mon-Fri 10.00 am - 6.00 pm. We understand flexibility, so we do make appointments to fit everyone’s schedule. We make exceptions on a need basis. However please do not expect every meeting to be held during weeknights or weekends. Every email will be replied to within 48 hours & please allow 2 working days to make any changes in the design.

 

Design and Proposal Fees At the initial consultation, both of us need to determine if this is a good fit. If both parties wish to continue, a retainer is requested before proceeding with your project to cover the basic time it is needed to come up with a design. This usually depends on the work that needs to get done. Based on the initial consultation, we prepare a detailed proposal that outlines the scope of services to be performed. We keep a close tab on how many hours is spent to collect the information.

 

Will I know my design fees cost? In order to address concerns over not knowing the final amount, we agree to a set amount of hours for each category going in, and a clause that allows that to be increased if desired. I provide you with complete time details with every invoice so you know what I did, when and how many hours it took.

 

Detailed Measurements After the retainer is paid, we take detailed measurements and evaluate the existing conditions and furnishings. If you have blueprints for your home please provide it at this time.

 

Interior Design Concept PresentationSpace Planning  A two-dimensional space plan is proposed and discussed to address your needs. We explore the function of the space and coordinate it with the other areas for the best use within your home.Based on prior meetings, a preliminary conceptual design scheme is presented. Depending on the need, various interior design elements are depicted with photos, sketches, magazine shots and samples of finishes such as flooring, paint colors, wall and window treatments, lighting and hardware to help you visualize our design plan. It may be necessary to tweak the plan until you are satisfied. Many of this can take place online.Budget/EstimateA preliminary budget is necessary to get started. Finding materials & balancing your budget to get maximum value is only possible if you have a preliminary starting point. We can go over your wish list & see how we can phase out the projects based on any budget constraints.When the presentation is made, we will keep the starting budget in mind & help you come up with what the overall concept will cost. The budget is evaluated and analyzed with you at this time. Once items are agreed upon by you, purchase orders are created and placed with manufacturers on your behalf. Follow up on orders include: tracking and lead times, deliveries and coordination of contractors.

 

Project Management Contractors are recommended based on the project. The contractor will provide you with a negotiated bid based on current market values and a remodeling project timetable evaluated by Remya Warrior Designs. Pre and post construction meetings and onsite visits during construction can be conducted, ensuring the fulfillment of design intent and maintenance of quality levels.

 

Installation Oversight of actual furniture placement and installations are overseen ensuring proper locations of pieces.We leave to allow you to enjoy your beautiful, newly designed home!
